I'm Chang, a product designer in San Francisco with a Master's in Interaction Design. I design AI products, focused on the parts of design that AI can't do for you yet: framing the right problem, shaping intent, and making complex things feel simple.
I run my own research, reframe the problem when the obvious framing is wrong, and move fast through the messy middle. I work in Figma, and when a project calls for it, I build the prototype in code instead of mockups, so the team gets a working build to extend, not a spec to translate.
Outside of work, I cook, walk the city on foot, read widely, and spend time with friends. Good design starts with a good life.
AI's first pass drifts toward generic, so it never gets the last word. It runs the busywork; framing the problem, choosing the direction, and deciding what ships stay with me. The rule I work by is the one my products ship with: a human stays in the loop. AI accelerates everything and decides nothing. The judgment is the job.
